General: This qualification provides a trade outcome in painting and decorating for residential and commercial construction work.

Entry Requirement: While there are no entry requirements defined in the training package, the VCEA requires the following criteria to be met.

  • Applicants must be minimum 18 years of age at the time of commencement
  • Successful completion of Australian Equivalent Year 12 qualification .
  • Minimum IELTS score of 6 or PTE score of 52 or Certificate III in EAL or its equivalent

In addition,

  • Applicants must have  computer and MS Office skills (Word, Excel and Power Point)  and all the student has to go through LLN & digital literacy assessment test

Pathways into the qualification: Individuals may enter CPC30620 Certificate III in Painting and Decorating by completing CPC20120 – Certificate II in Construction.

Vocational or Educational outcomes:

After achieving CPC30620 Certificate III in Painting and Decorating , individuals could progress to CPC40120 – Certificate IV in Building and Construction or CPC50220 Diploma of Building and Construction (Building).
